This is a hard review to give. We stayed in room 12 the first few nights, went to Saltzburg, then returned but were switched to room 18. I have different things to say based on which room we were in. Our first room was A DREAM! It was perhaps one of the best places we ever stayed at. We had a proper separate bedroom and a beautiful full apartment, everything was equipped, and quiet, and the crib we ordered was waiting for us. There was separate air conditioning for us and our baby in the next room, plus black-out curtains. I was in heaven. There was a lift. Checking in and out was beyond simple. The left luggage situation is the most comfortable out of anywhere I've ever seen. Basically, your keycard allows you into the luggage room, or if you have already checked out, everything is accessible by a code as well. Then you make your own code for a locker in a room of lockers. We left some things there for 48 hours and were fine and best of all, this is not an extra charge!!!! Everything I have to say about the second room will go into the negative section. It's right next to a tram station too. If you're looking here for the Jewish aspect, they have a separate Shabbat key, a plata, and hot water shabbat uren. It's literally attached to the Chabad house. In that sense it's wonderful. Be aware that it's a 25-minute walk to the kosher restaurants and Jewish area. It's not nearby!
First off, the lack of reception is a plus and a minus. There is a 24-hour hotline to call, and they are wonderful and responsive! That being said, I found that out because we came into our new room at 6 pm, after check-in time, expecting it to be ready and the room was missing the most important thing! Our baby cot. We had to keep my son awake for an extra hour while we waited for them to deal with the issue. Which they did, and most promptly. Still, it was incredibly stressful. In addition, our next room looked like someone shoved a wall where there obviously wasn't enough room for one. Our separate "room" was a flimsy wall shoved so far against the bed, that they literally needed two doors to access both sides of the bed. The bed was the exact full length of the room so unless you climbed over it, you had to go through one of the doors. The soundproofing here wasn't great either. Thankfully the separate aircon and blackout curtains were still present. The bed was still mostly comfortable if a bit small. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay. The first room gets six stars out of five! The second is 3.5. Service, 4. Overall, I still very highly recommend this place.
